Rental Collision Protection

Freedom Earned Rentals offers Renter’s Collision Protection (RCP), in partnership with Jim Schalberg Auto Rental Solutions, an optional insurance coverage designed to protect you against vehicle damage during your rental period. Coverage Overview

RCP covers damage due to:

  • Collision

  • Vandalism

  • Windstorm

  • Fire

  • Hail

  • Flood

​

This policy is primary coverage, meaning it applies before any personal insurance you may have.

How to Use RCP in the Event of an Accident
​

If an accident or damage occurs during your rental, follow these steps to ensure your claim is eligible:

  1. Call the Police Immediately
    A police report is mandatory. If the damage occurs on private property and the police do not come to the scene, go to the nearest police station to file a report.

  2. Contact Freedom Earned Rentals Immediately
    Notify us as soon as possible after the incident.

  3. Protect the Vehicle from Further Damage
    Take necessary steps to prevent additional damage to the vehicle.

  4. Gather Information

    • Take note and photos of how the damage occurred.

    • Get the names and contact info of any witnesses.

    • Collect information from other parties involved (name, address, insurance info, driver’s license number).

Claim Filing Instructions

To file a claim:

  1. Contact Corporate Claims Service
    Call 267-332-0814 (Ext. 119 or 115) as soon as reasonably possible. Provide:

    • Rental agency name and address (Freedom Earned Rentals)

    • Rental agreement number

    • Police incident or accident report

  2. Submit Your Claim Form
    Corporate Claims Service will send you a claim form. Review, sign, and return it to:

  3. Send Supporting Documents
    Include the rental agreement, police report, damage estimate, and any additional documentation requested.

  4. Deadlines

    • Proof of loss must be submitted within 90 days of the incident (or as soon as reasonably possible).

    • All claims must be submitted within one year of the incident.

Security Deposit & Claims
​

If damage or an accident results in an insurance or damage claim, the guest's security deposit will be held until the claim is fully investigated, processed, and finalized by the insurance or claims provider. This includes any damage under Renter’s Collision Protection or any other third-party coverage.
