Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Timelines & Refunds
​
  • Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the trip start time will receive a refund minus a $50 nonrefundable reservation fee.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip start time are nonrefundable.

  • Trip shortenings initiated by the guest after the start of the rental are not eligible for any refund, regardless of usage.

  • All reservation fees are nonrefundable, even if part of a larger payment.
    (Example: If total cost of a rental or a partial payment of the total cost is paid to confirm a rental reservation, $50 is nonrefundable.)

Reservation Deposits
​
  • All bookings require a nonrefundable $50 reservation confirmation fee to secure vehicle availability for the selected dates and times. If at least $50 is not paid toward the total rental cost at the time of booking, the reservation will be automatically canceled 30 minutes after submission.

  • This amount goes toward the total cost of the rental and is not an additional charge but will not be returned under any circumstance, even if the reservation is canceled.

  • Any additional amounts paid toward the rental follow the timeline-based cancellation terms above.

Refund Processing Timelines

  • Any approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days, depending on your financial institution.

  • Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method used at the time of booking.

Trip Insurance & Third-Party Coverage
​
  • Freedom Earned Rentals offers third-party collision protection which may be purchased during the booking process.

  • This coverage may offer reimbursement in case of accidents or incidents beyond your control, but it does not override our cancellation policy.

  • Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for additional peace of mind.

Extenuating Circumstances
​
  • In rare situations such as verified medical emergencies, flight cancellations, or natural disasters, Freedom Earned Rentals may consider a credit toward a future rental. Documentation is required.

  • These instances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are not guaranteed.

Chargeback/Dispute Policy​
​
  • Guests who initiate a chargeback or payment dispute that violates our cancellation policy may be considered in breach of contract.

  • Freedom Earned Rentals reserves the right to pursue collection efforts, report to credit bureaus, and/or take legal action to recover funds.

No Refunds for Policy Violations​
​
  • Violations of company policy (e.g., unauthorized drivers, reckless driving, smoking in the vehicle, late returns) will result in immediate cancellation and no refund.

  • Additional penalties or recovery fees may also apply.

​

Modifications to Existing Reservations
​
  • Reservation changes must be requested at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

  • If a change shortens the rental duration, no refunds will be given for unused days.

​

Force Majeure Clause
​
  • Freedom Earned Rentals is not liable for cancellations caused by events outside of our control, including but not limited to:

    • Natural disasters

    • Civil unrest

    • Acts of God

    • Government restrictions or legal changes

  • In such cases, we may offer credit toward a future rental at our discretion, but refunds are not guaranteed.

Unreturned Vehicles / Abandonment

  • Failure to return the vehicle as agreed may result in:

    • Immediate cancellation with no refund

    • Vehicle recovery fees

    • Reporting the vehicle as embezzled or stolen under Georgia law

    • Legal action

Partial Refund Consideration (Case-by-Case)
​
  • In very limited scenarios (e.g., extreme weather, operational failure on our part), a partial refund or credit may be considered.

  • This does not apply to:

    • Guest schedule changes

    • Guest dissatisfaction

    • Shortened trips

    • Late cancellations
